Daawat E Ishq is a deliciously charming coming together of Gulrez "Gullu" Qadir (Parineeti Chopra) a Hyderabadi shoe-sales female disillusioned with a love as a result of her meets with dowry-seeking guys; and Tariq "Taru" Haidar (Aditya Roy Kapoor) a Lucknawi chef who could charm anybody with the fragrance and tastes of his biryani and kebabs.

A shoe-sales woman, disillusioned with love due to her experiences with dowry-seeking men and a cook, who could beauty any person with the aroma and flavors of his biryani and kebabs, come person to person in the clash of diametrically opposite yet similarly spicy cultures of Hyderabad and Lucknow.
In her mission to locate her Mr. Universe, she comes up against 'Big Boss Hyderi Kebab' and while arriving at a 'tuning-setting', Gullu and Taru rewrite standard recipes of love, crush old-fashioned world-views and make their very own masaledaar albeli pichchar ... a delightfully romantic DAAWAT-E-ISHQ!

On November 18, 2013, the cast was spotted at Narhi colony in Lucknow, near the Lucknow Zoo, while they were shooting for a sequence. The team was also reported to have stayed there for a week. After Ishaqzaade and Do Dooni Chaar, it's the third film of National honor gaining director Habib Faisal, the capturing which occurred at Lucknow. [5] Various other filming locations consist of Hyderabad and Mumbai. [6] Parineeti, that is playing the job of a Hyderabadi gal, obtained formal training from actress Elahe Hiptoola to obtain the required Dakhini accent.
